How it works

OurOntario.ca gathers the metadata records held on the participating agency's website. The metadata records are imported, normalized and indexed on our servers. Searches are conducted on our indexed copy of the metadata, with results linking directly to the digital files on the contributing partner's site.

Participating in OurOntario.ca

We offer discovery services for those organizations wishing to increase discovery of, and access to their digital collections.

OurOntario.ca is a collaborative project, making your digital content discoverable through a variety of ways (such as the OurOntario.ca search portal, search engines, library catalogues, etc.) By exposing and exporting data into different formats, we ensure that digital resources can be discovered and searched by an online audience.
